June 2012 - JDD has completed a business planning study for the Thames Chase Forest Centre, principal hub of the Thames Chase Community Forest, near Upminster.

Burnt down in 2008 after a lightning strike, the Forest Centre was rebuilt and its management assumed by the Thames Chase Trust. The JDD study has confirmed the financial viability of the Centre and explores different options for expansion of its activities, including the opening of new events and project spaces and the creation of a network of walking / cycling / equestrian greenways within the Community Forest, starting at the Forest Centre.

For Chairman Ann Bartleet, the report provides a 'coherent summary of options, a testing of ideas and a systematic way forward.'
